Stress Less Plants is a local business catering to all your succulent and groundcover needs. We are a family owned and operated nursery with 20+ years of growing experience in the Tampa Bay area, specifically Plant City, Fl , the “Winter Strawberry Capital of the World”. A unique product we offer are succulent arrangements for gifts, centerpieces, patios, bridal showers, baby showers, etc. We pride ourselves in creating one of a kind creations just for you. The “Plant Boutique” items are of limited quantity and once it’s gone , it’s gone !!!! So make sure you grab the one you desire , before anyone else does !! Our plants are all of great quality and we inspect every plant we deliver and ship. If a plant does not pass our quality check, then it doesn’t leave the nursery! Our motto is “We take the stress out of gardenening ” and we truly mean it ! We also offer wholesale pricing as well if you are looking to buy succulents, liners, and 4 inch trays in large quantities please inquire within.

2 inch, 3 inch, & 4 inch succulents can be purchased in different groups sizes, we do NOT sale these individually.

6 inch succulents CAN be sold individually , ground cover is only sold by the tray (18- 4 inch plants are in every tray)

Cactus/Succulent “fish bowl” planter

Materials: a clear glass vessel, small pebbles, succulent and cactus potting soil, succulents and cacti in various shapes and sizes, white sand, a spoon

  1. Start with a medium-sized, clear glass open-top container. You can use anything that you have available—a vase, mason jar, a fish bowl, or a special terrarium bowl.
  2. Fill the bottom of the vessel with a 1.5 inch layer of small rocks or pebbles( even fish tank gravel will work) to collect the water drainage.
  3. Add a layer of potting soil made for succulents and cacti ( you can find at your local home store). It should be deep enough for the plants to root to, about 2.5 inches.
  4. Remove the largest plant from its container and dust excess soil off the roots. Using the end of a spoon, make a hole in the soil big enough for the roots and plop the plant inside, press the soil down firmly to hold it in place.
  5. Continue planting the rest of the succulents, working from largest to smallest. It’s easiest to start at the back of the container and work your way forward.
    Tip: Have FUN , mix up colors and types of succulents
  6. Once the plants are arranged, you can add a layer of white sand around the plants.
  7. You can be done or add extra rocks and landscaping for added effect!

    Tip: Succulents like direct sunlight every day. Lightly water the base every two weeks or once the soil dries out.

  1. I know, I know this is the thing that gets said over and over with succulents too much water is not good for succulents. It’s true! It is a crucial part of succulent care. However, succulents like to have their soil soaked and then dry out before watering again. So, soak the soil and then let it dry completely. The thicker the leaves the less water it needs.

2. Succulents need a lot of sunlight to grow happy and healthy. If they are outside put them somewhere they will receive some shade and stay relatively cool. Morning light is good with a bright shade in the afternoon. If your plants are inside, put them somewhere they’ll receive bright light for most of the day. They are less likely to get sunburned inside, but it can still happen. It they are inside with no window you may want to look into a grow light. If they do not have proper sunlight, the color may change.

3. Also, if re-planting make sure you are using a soil that drains well, cactus soil works great!
